Duration: 180 minutes – via Zoom

Tumours differ from patient to patient and even within a tumour the cells sometimes differ greatly. This so-called tumour heterogeneity represents a challenge in the treatment of cancer. The seminar will provide participants with a basic understanding of tumour development and the causes and effects of tumour heterogeneity. Using the example of our SATURN3 project and the HEROES-AYA project, both funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the National Decade Against Cancer, participants will learn about the current state of research in the field of tumour heterogeneity and the associated possibilities and limitations.
